Changes in the Legislation on Business Registration: Extension of Deadlines and Consequences of Non-compliance

Due to changes in legislation, the deadlines for updating the registration data of enterprises established before January 1, 2022, have been extended until January 1, 2025. This applies to both commercial and non-commercial organizations. In the event of non-compliance with the requirements for data updating, the registration of the enterprise will be suspended for one year. During this period, the enterprise will lose the right to obtain an extract from the register, leading to limitations on its business and financial activities. Registration will be restored after the obligation is fulfilled.

If the obligation is still not met even during the suspension period, then starting January 1, 2026, the registering authority will make a decision on the defect in registration and will set a three-month period to rectify it. Failure to meet this requirement may result in the permanent loss of registration.

The legislative amendment also considers the interests of individual entrepreneurs and non-commercial organizations, exempting them from the mandatory norm. This allows small businesses and public organizations to decide voluntarily on compliance with the law's requirements regarding their data.

In order to make the necessary changes to the registration data, owners of individual entrepreneurs and companies can contact the House of Justice directly or sign up for a consultation with the FinUp company.
